This page has details regarding how to plan your travel to the retreat center, for Awakening the Divine (May 20-25, 2025), including shuttles from the airport and train station, as well as carpools. 

All retreat participants are responsible for the logistics and expenses associated with travel to and from the retreat center. We offer the following as a guide to support your travel plans.

RETREAT START AND END TIMES

Tuesday, May 20: 

You can arrive as early at 1:00 PM. Check in to rooms will be from 2:30-4:30 PM. 

All participants should arrive by 4:00 PM at the latest.

Opening program is at 5:00 PM sharp.

Sunday, May 25:

Our program ends at 11:00 AM, with the option to pack a to-go lunch. You should plan to leave the retreat center by noon at the latest.

Transportation Options: 

🚗 By car: 

Approximately two hours north from New York City, three hours west from Boston. There is free parking on site. 

**Individuals requesting electric car plug in stations will need to pay a fee of $25. Please note you will not be able to charge your car for the entire week as there are staff that are also using the station. 

🚂By train:

From New York City – take MetroNorth’s Harlem line to the Wassaic train station (a 2.5-hour trip from Grand Central Station). Use the the “Train Time” smartphone app to confirm schedules and purchase tickets. https://mta.info/traintime. See below for how to join the group shuttle for the 30-minute ride from the train station to campus. 

✈️By air: 

The closest airport is BDL Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT, approximately 35 miles away (1-hour ride). Rental cars and taxis are available at the airport, and there will be a group shuttle departing at 1:30 PM for those arriving by Noon. 

Those flying to NYC airports such as LaGuardia, Newark or JFK should carpool with other participants or plan to access the MetroNorth train to the retreat center.

🚕Group shuttles from BDL/Hartford airport and train station (purchase below)

To guarantee your spot on a group shuttle from BDL Airport (near Hartford, CT) or the Wassaic, NY Metro North station, you must purchase your shuttle tickets before MONDAY May 5. 

If you miss the deadline, you can still coordinate carpools or taxis on your own, but they may end up costing as much as twice as much as the group shuttle.
