What if the results are not immediately noticeable?

"The midrash tells us that Noah built the ark for 120 years before the flood! That is, the preparations for the flood began long before heavy and threatening clouds were even visible on the horizon.
Similarly, in the practice of meditation, many times the results of the practice are not immediately noticeable, and we can find ourselves doubting and even, God forbid, thinking that we are wasting our time in the void. However, every one of our sits and practices joins bit by bit to cultivate our skills of observation and discernment. Even when the results are not visible to us, we continue to practice and do the internal work that ultimately benefits us, for at least 120 years."
